For many years my friends and family have been commenting on my rather busy travel and life schedule. ‘ Don’t you get tired of always doing stuff?’ is a question I often get asked which is always swiftly answered with ‘NO’! The truth of the matter is, I can’t sit still! I am a born wanderer, traveller and in my imagination explorer! I am all about EXPERIENCES, because to live life is to experience as much as you can, to create lasting memories that count! YOLO is a modern take on the classic mantra of ‘Carpe Diem’, which is my philosophy. No one else will seize/pluck the day for you, so might as well make the most of life yourself!
It is only recently that I have noticed my affinity for travelling is a little more than usual, or perhaps I just seem to act on every idea I get- my Dad always did say I was a ‘doer’. Often, I also get asked for travel advice on what we did, where we went, how we got there etc, hence the idea for YOLO Inc.
Having been lucky enough to travel and live in different countries and cities such as London (currently), New York City, Florida, Manila, Los Angeles and the West Country, I have seen different cultures and values which has sparked my curiosity of the world and what it has to offer. Every place you go has something interesting waiting to be discovered, it’s just about making the most of it whilst you are there and not forgetting where you live. This doesn’t always mean doing the most expensive thing, it could be as simple as a picnic or riding a bike. Experiences are like relationships, you just can’t allow yourself to get complacent otherwise the spark will wither.
The aim of this blog is very simple…I just want to share my experiences in a way that I wish someone shared theirs with me so it made living the YOLO Inc. way even simpler. It encompasses my travels and activities since I met my Husband, aka travel partner. To be honest before that, teenage holidays to the Greek Islands consisted of as much culture as an Irish Bar in Zante so not really worth noting down! I do not claim to be a travel expert, a writer, philosopher, I am just a very normal person relaying my personal experiences!
